2 Ways To Find Profitable Affiliate Offers
Jan 7th
I want to cover an aspect of affiliate marketing that is very important if you want to have a profitable business. In a perfect world, you should buy every product that you have an interest in promoting so you can see if it is something that will provide value to the people you recommend it to. Unfortunately, that can add up to a lot of cash up front, especially if you’re entering several markets or testing out new ones.
You don’t have to buy the product to see if it’s any good. Still, there are two important steps I recommend that you take before you take the time to create a marketing campaign for an affiliate product.
1. The first thing you can do is to do a search for reviews of the product you have in mind. Enter “product name review” and start visiting the sites that come up. A lot of these sites are going to be other affiliates that are promoting the product. Some of these sites will be pretty basic and just a pitch for the product. Other sites will be really good, and worthy of taking notes. Again, don’t copy, but learn from what they do and use this information to create your promotions.
Another thing that you should look for are forums that come up in the search engine results. Here is where you can see what people who have actually purchased the product think of it. This is pure gold! If the product is good, and the customers are happy, you’ll be able to read why they like the product. You can take notes and use these notes to craft your promotion. It is also a good indicator that the product will sell well. If there are a lot of complaints, remove this product from your list and move on to the next one.
2. Go and read the sales page for each product that you are considering. I mean really read it, word for word. Does the sales message draw you in? Are the testimonials well written and convincing? Does the sales letter do a good job of selling the product with bullet points and benefits for the reader?
This is so important because if you’re going to spend the time and/or money to promote a product, you want to presell the reader and let the sales page get the visitor to click on the order link and buy. If the sales page is full of typos, has bad graphics, or is just a poor excuse for a sales letter, don’t waste your time.
The good news is that there are so many products out there for you to promote that you don’t have to settle for any of them. Don’t just look at how much you’ll make for each sale. That won’t do you much good if the product has a lot of refunds and complaints, or if the sales page is not good at converting visitors into buyers.

You Don't Have To Wait To Get Access To Your Commission Payments
Dec 22nd
As much as I love affiliate marketing, one of the drawbacks is that you often have to wait to be paid. This can be a challenge, especially if you are paying to get the traffic to your affiliate offer. You have to put the money out up front, and wait to get paid. There’s no way around that, because you can’t expect to get paid until you make a sale.
What makes it a problem is that some affiliate programs make you wait a long time to get paid – sometimes 2 weeks or more.
If you want to get paid in a shorter time frame, here’s good news. There are affiliate programs available that pay you much sooner. And there are some that will pay you immediately into your PayPal account so you can access your commissions right away.
Even better are affiliate programs that offer recurring commissions. That way you promote once, and get paid repeatedly over time. Again, there are opportunities to promote products that pay immediately into your PayPal account.
What I like to do is search out affiliate offers that pay immediately and also look for offers that promote hot products that have a longer waiting period for getting paid. This is easy to do. Every affiliate program should tell you their payment policy.
For example, I might want to promote products related to weight loss. I go to a search engine and type in “weight loss affiliate programs” or something similar to see what I can find. I will also go to affilate networks such as ClickBank or Commission Junction to find offers to promote.
I’ll get a list of 8-10 offers that look promising, and make a note of how much commission I’ll make on each sale, and how often I’ll get paid.
By doing this, I can look at my available advertising funds, and decide how much I can spend to promote these offers and how long I am willing to wait to get paid for my sales. I can also promote a couple of products that pay commissions every 2 weeks and a couple of products that pay commission instantly. That way I can pay for my ads with the instant commission products.
Ideally, I would prefer to only promote offers that pay immediately into my PayPal account, but depending on the market I’m entering, this may not be an option.
The bottom line is that you don’t have to wait to get your commissions. There are affiliate offers that will pay you immediately at the time of sale. All you have to do is search them out and start promoting.
If you’d like to save yourself a lot of time, you can get a listing of over 200 affiliate offers that pay you immediately. It’s called Affiliate Commissions Instantly, and it provides the information you need to find instant commission affiliate programs. A lot of these pay 100% commission directly to your PayPal account. Click here for more…
Another Reason Why You Should Create Your Own Products
Jul 2nd
A lot of people use affiliate marketing in their businesses. In fact, a lot of the “Gurus” of the marketing world are affiliates. And there are countless products being sold that offer commissions to affiliates.
I like affiliate marketing. So do product owners. But here’s something to think about…
Let’s use an example of a product that offers a 50 percent commission on a product that sells for $50. Every time someone purchase the product through your link, you get $25 and the seller gets $25.
Here’s where it gets interesting. The seller didn’t have to do anything to get the customer to his sales page. He didn’t pay any money on advertising or write articles. He set up his sales system and offered to pay affiliates a commission.
On the other hand, to get your $25 commission for each sale, you had to get people to click on your link. You had to set up a web site and create an offer. Or you had to post to your blog. Or you wrote and submitted articles. Or you paid for advertising.
You had to get traffic to your offer. It cost you in either time or money. If you paid for advertising, you end up making less than $25 for each sale. Sometimes a lot less. And the seller is always going to make his or her $25 because he didn’t have to pay for the traffic with either time or money.
So affiliate marketing is a nice way to make an income, but it’s better to be the one who is selling the product in the first place.
If you’re going to go to the effort of creating review pages and writing and submitting articles to promote a product, why not use all of that effort to create your own product? Then you can get your own affiliates driving traffic to your site.
You get to keep the $25 that you get for each sale, because the affiliate is the one who paid for the traffic. It’s a lot more profitable, and you can do it too.
