Getting Free Traffic With WP Syndicator
Aug 13th
Getting traffic to your blog is essential for your business. You already know that, and you know that it can take a lot of time to get more traffic. And without traffic, all of your hard work wil be wasted.
Right now, one of the most effective way to get traffic to your blog is by getting one way backlinks to your site – a lot of backlinks. A good way to do this is to get links from Web 2.0 sites. Sites like: WordPress, TypePad, Blogger, Vox, LiveJournal, Tumblr, Mulitply, Plurk, FriendFeed, Xanga, Identica, You Are, Blellow and Bright Kite. And don’t forget Twitter.
One of the biggest drawbacks to this strategy is the time it takes. You have to go to each site, login, and post the content along with a link back to your site. And you have to do this every time you make a new post to your blog.
While this is effective, it takes a lot of time. You could hire someone to do it for you, but for most of us, that isn’t an option, at least not yet. So if you wanted links to your blog from these Web 2.0 sites, you had to do it yourself.
WP Syndicator has changed all of that. Here’s the short version of what WP Syndicator will do for you:
The first step is to sign up for an account at each of these sites. WP Syndicator will help you to do that. This should take less than an hour.
The next step is to write your blog post. Once you are done, WP Syndicator can submit an excerpt of your blog article to any or all of the Web 2.0 sites that you have signed up for. The default is 500 characters, which is around 100 words. You can set it to any length you want. At the end of the excerpt is a link back to your blog where they can read the rest of your post.
With WP Syndicator, you can automatically post content and get several links back to your site every time you update your blog. This saves a ton of time, and gets you a lot of backlinks and more free traffic.
WP Syndicator was purchased by over 1,000 people during a fund raiser that Andy Fletcher, the creator of WP Syndicator, ran on the Warrior Forum. It is getting great reviews and results, and now it’s your turn to see what WP Syndicator is all about. Click here now…
Easy Backlinks With WP Syndicator
Aug 12th
Setting up a self hosted WordPress Blog is about the quickest and easiest way to get a site up and running. Next comes the generating the traffic you need to get visitors t your blog so they can subscribe to your list or buy what you’re recommending. One of the most effective ways of getting your site to the top of the search engine results pages is by getting a lot of backlinks to your blog.
A creative guy named Andy Fletcher has created a new plug-in that makes it easy to start building backlinks for every post you make called WP Syndicator. What it does is make it push button simple to get the content from your blog to up to 15 Web 2.0 properties including WordPress, TypePad, Blogger, Vox, LiveJournal, Tumblr, Mulitply, Plurk, FriendFeed, Xanga, Identica, Blellow and Bright Kite. It will also send a tweet about your latest blog post at the same time.
What the WP Syndicator plug-in does is syndicate an excerpt from your blog post onto up to 15 Web 2.0 properties all in one easy click. What gets posted to the Web 2.0 sites is an excerpt from your post and you can set the length to whatever you want. By default, it will grab the first 500 characters which will usually average about 100 words. With that excerpt, will be a link back to your blog that will be “Read more…” or you can set it to the keyword anchor text you want. With the micro-blogging sites, such as Twitter, instead of the anchor text, it will have a shortened bit.ly link.
Now, you do have to take a bit of time in the initial set up of your plug-in. You need to create accounts at each of the sites, of course. You can do this right through the WP Syndicator interface as the menu will take you through to all the places that you need to sign up for the various sites. If you get stuck at all, there are some very handy videos that will guide you through the less obvious spots. This will take you from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how fast you type and how fast you can get through it all.
Once the initial set up is completed, it’s push button simple to syndicate your latest post. And one of the best features is that you can choose which sites to syndicate to with each post. For example, Identical and Blellow only take certain kinds of content so you wouldn’t want to syndicate a post that will be seen as spam to those sites. You can easily turn those two sites off before you have WP Syndicator do its thing.
So what does this mean? More traffic from those who read your material on the Web 2.0 sites and wish to read the rest of your article. They’ll gladly click through to your blog to see what else you have to say. More subscribers, because once they’re there, you will make sure they see your opt-in form, right? And of course, more backlinks that show the search engines how popular your blog is. Higher rankings in the search engines and more free traffic. Affiliate Marketing Is Bigger Than Internet Marketing Products
Aug 6th
Internet marketing is a lot of fun for me. I love learning about the different methods there are to earn money, and I especially like affiliate marketing. No products to create, no customer service hassles, no headaches. Just promote the product and get paid when someone buys.
What I found myself doing was that when I was looking for products to promote, I almost always went straight to Internet Marketing related products. These were the products that I was being exposed to day after day as I opened my marketing related emails that I had subscribed to, the ads on blogs I read, and links on the forums I visited. That made sense because virtually all of my email was marketing related, as were the blogs and forums I visited.
Then I started reading posts on blogs and forums about how a lot of the big names in Internet Marketing made most of their money in other markets, and not by selling to the IM crowd.
I went to ClickBank.com, and instead of heading into the IM area, I started to take a look around at the other categories of products that were being offered. Once I took the time to browse through several of the categories, I was amazed. There are thousands of products at ClickBank, and a lot to choose from.
For example, in the Home And Garden Category, there are over 1,000 products. Sorted by popularity, at number 6 was a guide on building a chicken coop, and at number 7 was another product on building a chicken coop. I never thought that chicken coops would be so popular.
Drilling down in Home And Garden, I went to Animal Care And Pets. In this category, there are 376 products available, with the top spot going to a guide to dog training secrets, and in the rest of the top 10 were healthy food for dogs, cat care, and more dog training products.
What I discovered was that while I was focusing on the IM niche, I was missing out on a lot of other opportunities.
Do you realize how easy it is to select a niche such as chicken coops, find a few chicken coop products, and set up a site? Whether you use a blog or a HTML site, it wouldn’t take very long to get a site set up and start driving traffic.
How about products that never go out of style, such as weight loss, exercise, recipes, dog training, cooking, or travel?
The Internet Marketing niche is pretty crowded, and if you’ve been exclusively promoting IM products, and not having much luck, take a look at ClickBank and other affiliate networks. There are a lot of markets out there beyond IM, and it’s worth your time to put up a site or two and see what happens.

Fast And Furious Niche Site Creation
Jun 26th
One of the most important things you can do as an online marketer is getting niche sites online – fast. Don’t get caught up in planning and tweaking your site ideas for so long that you never get around to getting the site online. Your niche site ideas will never make you any money if you don’t get them online. And remember that you can never be sure what will work BEFORE you upload your site.
In other words, there is no way to know in advance whether or not your site will make profits. You can spend a lot of time getting your search engine optimization just right, selecting keywords, and writing a lot of content, but the only way you’ll know if what you’re doing is working is to get it online!
Another mistake is to focus all of your attention and weeks of your time on one site. Again, you have no way to know if a site is going to generate traffic and sales if you don’t get it online.
The key is to create sites quickly, get them online, get the search engines to visit, and move on to another niche site idea. Once you get several niche sites up and running, go into your cpanel and see how much traffic you’re getting and keep track of any sales you’re generating.
If any of your sites are not performing very well, you can either work on them to get more traffic by adding content and backlinks, or you can drop the site and concentrate on the sites that are doing better.
The quicker you can get your niche sites created and the more sites you can create, the better your opportunity to start making money. And speed is the key.
The preferred way for a lot of marketers to create sites is to use WordPress blogs for your niche sites. The advantages are many:
- There are hundreds of free themes you can use, so it is relatively easy to find a theme that will match your niche.
- There are plugins that you can use to make your site search friendly and to get your site noticed.
- WordPress blogs are indexed VERY quickly by the major search engines, so your site will get noticed almost immediately.
- Installing a blog takes literally about 5 minutes if you have web hosting with cpanel and fantastico.
- Adding pages and posts is fast and easy to do.
- You don’t have to mess around with a lot of HTML code.
There is no reason that you can’t have a niche site up and running in under 2 hours. If you create one site a day, 5 days a week, you’ll have 20 sites in a month and over 20 in a year. This is how you can test a lot of niche markets and not waste a lot of time trying to create the “Perfect” web site. There is no “Perfect” web site, just sites that product results.

Are Your Sites Ready For Christmas?
Aug 1st
I know that it’s still summer here in the US, but it’s time for me to start creating my marketing plans for Christmas. Why?
What I discovered last year was that there was a lot of money to be made selling products as an Amazon.com affiliate. I came across Info Product Killer, and bought it in late October.
I registered 11 domain names on November 6, and the sites were up in less than 2 weeks. I started getting traffic around the first of December, and I made a whopping $100 in commissions.
That isn’t much, but it proved to me that I could get sites indexed and getting free traffic in a couple of weeks. And if I had started sooner, I would have made a lot more money.
What’s been really encouraging is that all of the sites that I set up last November have been steadily getting more free traffic every month. And that’s with little to no work on my part. Since my traffic is growing without any effort on my part, I’ll build on the momentum I have.
What I’m going to do is to build out the sites I already have, add about 10 more product sites promoting Amazon.com products, and start getting traffic to them. I’m going to do everything that I learned with Info Product Killer to build SEO friendly sites and start driving traffic.
I’ll cross link the sites, put up a few blogs and link to my sites, optimize each page for the keywords I am targeting, and getting a lot of backlinks. I’ll add in a few articles on my blogs, sites, and submit a few articles to article directories. Put up a Squidoo lens or two, and see what happens.
This is the start of what I expect to be a very profitable Christmas. I’m going to update my progress on this quest, and tell you what I’ve found that works to get free traffic and sales. Stay Tuned…
