How To Create Content For Your List Without Writing A Word
Dec 31st
Have you ever wanted to start a newsletter, but didn’t do it because you hate to write? Or maybe you put it off because you thought that it was hard to come up with content? Maybe you avoided it because you were afraid that you would have a lot of spelling mistakes and you would look foolish?
What I would suggest is doing audio newsletters, or podcasts. Instead of writing and formatting your messages, you could spend a few minutes a couple of times a week and record what you would have written. Think about this: you don’t have to worry about spelling mistakes or formatting issues. And you don’t have to type. All you have to do is speak into a microphone like you would talk to a friend about your subject. Do this for a few minutes – it doesn’t have to be very long at all – and you’ll have your content ready in no time.
There is audio software that you can use that is absolutely free called Audacity. It’s all you need to get started. There are no ads, you don’t have to sign up for a list, and it’s free open source software that you can use right now. So there is no excuse to not try it out if you hate to write and still want a list of subscribers.
There are some benefits you can get from posting audios on your site. All you have to do is send a short email to your subscribers with a link to the page on your site that has the audio posted. On that page, you can include ads for products you are promoting and/or Adsense ads. You can put up a review of affiliate products with a link to the merchant’s site. You could also have links to previous audio posts you have available.
You could even do your reviews with audio posts. On the page you send your subscribers to for your newsletter content, you could have an audio review. Put a title and a brief description of what the audio is about, put a link to the product, and you’re all set.
Even if you have a newsletter that you send out and a list of subscribers, it’s a good idea to add an audio for your subscribers once in a while. It’s a good way to keep them interested. And it also gets them to your site so they can see your product offers and links to other areas of your site that they may be interested in – article pages, video pages, product pages, review pages – that they may not otherwise be aware of.
A list of your own subscribers can be an asset to your business and bring you more profits, and you CAN build a list even if you hate to write. Spend a few minutes a couple of times a week recording an informative message for your subscribers, upload it to your site, and send them to your site. You may be amazed at how easy it is.

List Building – How To Provide Useful Information And Make Profits Too
Aug 7th
One of the challenges of building a list is providing content that your subscribers will look forward to reading. On the one hand, you are building a list to make money, so you’ll probably want to make a lot of offers.
On the other hand, if all you do is push products, your subscribers may get tired of that and quit reading your messages. You’ll see your conversions go down and see your unsubscribe rate go up.
You can do both – provide useful information and also promote a product or service, all in the same message.
Here’s an example of how NOT to do it. I recently purchased a product that had to do with getting a lot of one way backlinks. In one of the videos, the author pointed out that researching sites that would be good candidates to get links from was a time consuming process.
He pointed out that you could do it yourself, but immediately launched into a pitch for a product that would make it a lot easier. The product was over $100, and while it may be a good product, not everyone could afford it right now, especially if they were just starting out.
The bulk of the video was a demonstration of the product, with no information on how to do the research for free, as promised.
The way to provide information and promote a product in the same email is really quite simple. Select a product that makes a person’s life easier, one that saves them time and/or money.
Then write an article that shows how to do it, with a recommendation for a product that makes the process a lot easier.
Take keyword research for example. A lot of new marketers are confused by the subject, and don’t know what to do, or which product or service to buy. They want to know how to do it.
You write an article on how to use WordTracker’s free keyword tool, or Google’s free tool. Explain how to enter a keyword, and how interpret the results. Explain how in the case of Google they can save their results to their computer.
You’ve just given them some really good information on how they can do basic keyword research for free. Now it’s time to make your offer.
So now you explain how they can speed up the process and make a lot easier to sort and use their keywords by buying the related product that you’re promoting.
Whether they decide to buy or not, the message was valuable. You provided good information, you didn’t try to convince them to buy anything. All you did was teach them and refer them to something that could take your information to the next level.
No hard sell. No worries about sending too many promotional emails. And a great way to stand out from most of the lsits out there. Most of the lists I sign up for are nothing more than a series of pure advertisements. Your emails will be more useful, more likely to be read, and more likely to keep your subscribers happy.

Two Steps To Effective List Building
Jun 13th
It’s common knowledge by now that building a list of subscribers is one of the most important parts of your online business.
The difficulty is getting subscribers in the first place. It seems like every day that I go online, I come across several sites that offer me the opportunity to sign up for another list. So you and I have a lot of competition when it comes to getting someone to sign up for our list.
And if you’re like me, and get an inbox full of these follow up emails from these subscriptions every day, you’ll see that most of them are nothing more than ads. No content of useful information, just a link to click on for the latest product launch of the week.
So there are two main obstacles to getting subscribers – competition, and subscribers who are tired of giving out their email addresses and getting nothing in return.
So what can we do? After all, our list is full of useful information, special offers. In other words, we offer incredible value. How can we convince potential subscribers that they should give us their name and email address?
The first part is the page where we try to get people to enter their information into our opt-in form. Here we explain why they should subscribe. We tell them what benefits they will get. In other words, we have to “SELL” them on our list. Include a list of bullet points, headlines, and sub heads that get their attention and interest.
In the past, a good sales page for your free newsletter was enough. But now, with all of the competition, we have to do more. So the second part is offering something for free.
Not just any old free thing. It has to be something unique, something that only your subscribers will have access to. You could use private label stuff you have on your computer or that you go out and find. But the best thing to do is to create something unique yourself.
And it doesn’t have to be an ebook. There are also videos – screen capture or actual video of you talking or demonstrating something. it could be an audio of you giving a presentation or interviewing someone. It could be a piece of software – a toolbar or software that helps them out in some way. Products that come with a sales letter that they can sell and keep all of the profits.
The point is that these days it’s a lot easier to get subscribers if you can offer something of value in exchange for their email address.
You want to make sure that what you offer is good – really good.
You want to make a good first impression. Do that, and there’s a much better chance that your future email communications will actually be opened and read instead of being deleted.
Don’t stop there. Once they’re on your list, mix it up a little. Instead of sending text only emails, send them links to something else. A video you made just for your subscribers. A link to a special report that they can download for free. A pod cast. A link to some really cool, free software. A list of resources that are free and that will help them out.
Once you get people to your opt-in page, tell them why they should subscribe, offer them a valuable free bonus, and deliver quality content in various forms. It’s well worth the effort.
