3 Easy Ways To Make More Sales
Sep 10th
Getting visitors to your site is hard enough. It can take a lot of time, effort, and money to get enough traffic so your site can make a profit. Then there’s the reality that most of your visitors are going to leave your site without buying anything, and they’ll never be back.
If you can get 1 or 2 out of every 100 visitors to buy something, you’re doing good. It would be even better if you could get 3, 4, or more sales for every 100 visitors. So you need ideas that you can use that you can test to see if they will increase your conversion rates and your profits.
I want to point out that if you’re selling ANYTHING, there are 3 simple strategies you can use to increase the effectiveness of your sales letter. These strategies will help if you have your own product. They are also effective ideas if you’ve got products with master resell rights or private label rights products on your hard drive that you want to sell.
What you can do to get more of your visitors to buy from you is to create a sense of urgency, that if they don’t buy right now they’ll miss out on a good deal that won’t be available if they leave your site. Here are 3 ideas that you can use.
1. Offer a time limited special discount. Let your visitor know that if they purchase right now, they are guaranteed a lower price. Let them know what the regular price is, and tell them how much they’ll save if they buy now. Another way to do this is to offer the discount for a limited number of copies. You could decide that you will sell 100 copies at the discounted price, and then the price will be increased.
2. Offer a time limited bonus. Like the discount offer above, you can offer the bonus until a deadline that is displayed on your site. Or you could offer the bonus to a limited number of copies sold. “The first 100 customers will receive my $47 bonus absolutely free.”
3. Limit the number of copies that you’ll sell, or only sell the product for a limited time and then take it off your site. This creates a sense of urgency because if they are interested in your product, they can’t afford to take the chance that it won’t be available if they come back later.
These three strategies are very powerful and can result in a lot more sales for your product. Of course, you have to have a product you believe in and you have to make sure that if you make these offers, you stick to them. You can lose a lot of credibility if your visitors find out that you are misleading them in any way.
Use these strategies wisely, and they could help you to turn your visitors into buyers. To your continued online success.

Why Using A Link Shortening Service Can Cost You
Sep 9th
You know how important it is as an affiliate marketer to cloak your links. You do this for a couple of reasons. First, to reduce the possibility of someone trying to bypass your affiliate link and using their own, keeping you from getting paid a commission. The other reason is that most affiliate links are long and they look like affiliate links.
The danger is what do you do if these link shortening services shut down?
Your links don’t work anymore…
The reason this is such a big deal is because if you are using these links, and the site goes down, you have to search out every place where you have used that link and replace it with one that works. You have to go through every web page on every site you have and make sure to change the affected links. You have to go to your blog and replace the links there. And to Blogger, Squidoo, Hubpages, and your autoresponder sequences.
But what can you do about the articles you submitted, the forum posts, the free reports you created, the ebooks you sell. You can’t go back and change all of these links.
The reason I bring this up is because a couple of years ago this happened to me. The service I was using went out of business. They didn’t notify me that they were out of business, so I don’t know how long it was before I noticed, but it was a real headache changing all of my links.
Last year the popular service tinyurl went out of business. And this week there was a discussion on the Warrior Forum that budurl was down.
Because there is no guarantee that any of these sites will always work, you should be cautious about using these link shortening services. They’re probably OK if you have a mini site with a few pages of content, or if you’re using them in email messages. But if you’re creating free reports or PDF files that you are distributing, I wouldn’t use them at all. Instead, you would be better off using a simple redirect page on your own domain.
The advantage of doing this is that first, you can track how many clicks each of your links get by accessing AWStats in the Cpanel of your hosting account.
There’s another really big advantage. For example, you decide to promote a product about generating traffic using FaceBook. Since there are several of these products coming out, you may decide to promote a different FaceBook traffic product. If you use a redirect, you can change the affiliate link in the redirect page, and now every link that you have out there will redirect to the new offer.
I’m not going to go into how to set up a redirect page in detail here. You can find the code for a redirect online for free and set up the redirect pages on your web site easily. If you decide to use an online service for your links, remember, you were warned! To your online success…
