How To Believe You Can Achieve Your Income Goals
If you’ve been online for awhile, you have seen a lot of products out there that promise to show you how to quit your job and make a lot of money in your own online business. The dream of working for yourself from home is very appealing. One thing that a lot of us miss is what we need to do to make enough money to work from home.
It sounds good to think about making thousands of dollars a month while you’re at the beach. But I think what holds a lot of people back is that they want to make thousands of dollars a month, but since they have never done it, it’s hard to have the confidence to make it happen.
If you’ve never made your first dollar online, it’s hard to believe that you can make thousands a month.
What makes it a lot easier is to break Internet Marketing down into smaller chunks. Coming up with a goal for the month is a good starting point. Once you do that, break it down into daily goals.
To make it really simple, let’s look at it this way. Let’s say you want to earn $3,000 a month. You would have to make an average of $100 a day to get to your goal of $3,000 a month. Your target is $100 a day.
Next you need to take a look at what you’re going to do to generate $100 today. If you’re selling products, how many sales will you have to make to meet your goal? Remember to take into account any advertising costs. If you use adwords, and you make $100 in sales, take a look at how much you had to pay for ads. If you had to pay $50 for ads to get $100 in sales, you’ve really made $50, half of your goal. So you would have to generate $200 in sales to end up with $100 in profit.
It’s also important to find products to promote that are sellng well and are in high demand. If you find that a product that you’re selling isn’t getting a lot of sales, move on to another product.
The key to reaching your goals is to decide on a plan, get started, and be willing to change your approach if what you’re doing is not getting results. And don’t concentrate all of your efforts on 1 or 2 products. You’ll never know for sure whether or not a product you’re promoting is going to do well, so you have to try out a lot of them to find the winners. Break down your goals into daily targets, and execute your plan.
