Tips And Strategies For Effective Online Marketing
Adding Value To Your Site With Articles
To keep the search engine spiders coming back regularly to index your site, you need to routinely add or modify the pages on your site. A good way to do this is to add article pages to your site. The spiders will index the new content, and you will increase your chances of having good rankings on several of your pages.
Make each article focus on a keyword or two that you want to get listed for. Don’t try to cover too many points in each article. If you have other points you want to cover, use another article to do it.
Since each page of your site should be working to make you money, make sure you have an opt-in form somewhere on your page. Make sure to include offers to an affiliate product or a product of your own as well. It’s real important to offer products that are related to the article page they are shown on.
It’s okay to offer more than one product on a page, but if you put up several banners and graphics, it can often confuse your visitor. That can result in a lot of visitors but poor sales.
Here’s an obvious example:
If your article is about using pay-per-click advertising, don’t put an ad about an eBay ebook you are promoting. Find a product to offer that is about ppc advertising. I know it sounds obvious, but it is easy to miss this. The reason is that it is easy to set up an article template that you use with all of your articles. Then all you have to do is paste in your article and you’re done. But if the template is preloaded with all of the products you are promoting, it’s easy to forget about targeting your offers to match your article.
Keep adding content to your site. Make offers that complement the page they are on.
